Osmotherly and Codbeck resevoir provided the most beautiful backdrop for this family's portraits. We had the most beautiful light filtered through dramatic rain clouds.

Having known Nicki for sometime, both administrating the marvelously awesome Thirsk Small Business Staffroom I was delighted when she requested some business shots to showcase the marvelous face behind the words of Curly and Candid writing. Nicki was a superstar to work with. You can read her review of her photoshoot here - http://www.curlyandcandid.co.uk/2017/09/01/lucy-white-photography/
The fabulous new community chat group Ripon and Nidderdale Mumbler launched in Autumn and I was delighted to be asked to be part of their launch with a family portrait prize.
I got to work with the most lovely winning family at their home, complete with gorgeous orchard and farm buildings. I don't often get the option or ability to take family portraits at someone's home, but this gorgeous family had such a beautiful garden! I got to meet the entire family including their pet cat. I have never had a cat at family portraits before, so this was a delight.
A multi-generational family portrait shoot in the lovely grounds of Solberge Hall, Northallerton. The daffodils were spectacular as was the gorgeous kitchen garden.
The sunniest day of the year thus far, in the shade of the spectacular Nidd Gorge, Knaresborough. It was so lovely to work with these gorgeous girls, so full of energy. The girls came straight from a morning of Gymnastics training full of beans, hanging upside down from trees and balancing on walls. Daisy dog, much a part of the family was a dream to work with too.
DISHFORTH C OF E PRIMARY ALICE IN WONDRELAND PORTRAITS My daughters class at work were putting on a production of Alice in Wonderland (which was spectacular). We thought it would be fun to all get together for cast photo's ! How incredibly fun. Crab Manor (The Crab and Lobster at Topcliffe) kindly let us use their immaculate and beautiful grounds for the photo's.
It was amazing to see the children get into their roles and have photo's with their friends too. Well done Class Two, you were amazing. LIFESTYLE SESSION WITH 9 WEEK YOUNG KING CHARLES SPANIEL - AMBEROne of my bestest friends got a puppy ! Let me introduce 9 week old Amber, the King Charles Spaniel.
As you can see, she's currently going through the chewing phase, but its totally made up for in terms of cuteness / cuddles / those eyes / baby soft fur / tiny paws and being totally adorable ! We did a mini lifestyle shoot with her, she did exactly as she pleased and HOW CUTE IS SHE !! LOGAN AND LOUISEJust look at Logan's puppy dog eye's ! He looked like this throughout. He and his mummy are both absolutely gorgeous.
Louise got in touch a few weeks back, to arrange photo's of herself and her dog (who she shares with her fiance) to gift to her fiance for his birthday. Apparently Logan was meant to be a shared dog, but Louise thinks that Logan and her fiance are pretty much kindred spirits, Logan going to work every day with her fiance. That being said, Logan absolutely relished the opportunity for some time with his mum. You could tell he LOVED all the snuggles. Louise, Logan and I went for a walk along Boroughbridge Canal. The air had drizzle in it and the sky little light, but Boroughbridge always has a way of being beautiful. In all the years I've lived around the Boroughbridge area, I have never taken this route to the canal before. After a muddy track, we were met with epic riverside, long grasses (which Logan loved to dig in) and some gorgeous old oaks. I'm looking forward to taking my own gorgeous dog back there for a walk. It's made me look up to find other walks we may not have discovered in Boroughbridge and I found this awesome website full of local rambles - http://www.boroughbridgewalks.org.uk/river-round/ Louise and I were chatting and it turned out we were at Sixth Form in Harrogate together. Neither of us can place one another, but it was fun to reminisce over old school days. I'll leave you with a few favourite shots from their portrait session. // SAVING YORKSHIRE'S DOGS : valentines day 2017 //This month's visit to SYD - Saving Yorkshire's Dogs was a little different. I visited on Valentines Day and some lovely local businesses decided to get involved, to make the dogs feel super loved ! CLT Veterinary Physiotherapy visited on the day and gave the dogs massages and soothing therapies, with lots of love and playtime ! We had a wonderful donation of food, treats, harnesses, toys and other items from VetUK- an incredible local pet care company who kindly cleared out their warehouse in Thirsk for the dogs. Green's Country Store kindly sent with me a giant sized bag of working dog food. And Bedale Pet Shop sent some lovely treats for the dogs. Rowen Johnson Hardcastle and Gallant Dog Services have kindly gathered up donations for the dogs at SYD from their dog walking clients and Sam Telfer, Carmel Wake and Sarah Norris. Also, thanks to dog trainer Kate Holdsworth who kindly sent the dogs some training leads. Thank you so so much to these amazing companies for helping these dogs feel super loved on Valentines Day.
